The Alanya Castle Panorama Observation Deck is one of the best spots to see Alanya from above, and we'd say it belongs on your must-do list of things to do in Alanya. We recommend timing your visit around sunset, when the light turns golden and the views across the Mediterranean coastline are genuinely breathtaking — perfect for photos. The observation deck sits near the top of Alanya's famous clifftop castle area, so you can combine it with a walk around Alanya Fortress itself. Getting here is easiest by taking the cable car (teleferik) from Cleopatra Beach, though you can also drive or take a taxi up. There are a handful of bars and restaurants dotted around the area offering panoramic views, but the ones we visited felt overpriced and underwhelming, so our recommendation is to enjoy the view itself rather than linger for a meal. The area can get busy during the peak summer season, so arriving slightly before sunset gives you the best balance of light and manageable crowds.
