Haydarzade is a beautiful little café in the Mahmutlar area near Alanya dedicated entirely to traditional Turkish desserts, and it's one of those places that makes a lasting impression. The selection here is genuinely impressive — künefe, katmer, baklava, and a range of other authentic Turkish sweets, all made with obvious care and to a high standard. It's a relatively new and modern-feeling space with a thoughtfully designed interior that reflects traditional Turkish aesthetics, which makes it pleasant to spend time in as well as to eat. Service was attentive and good when we visited. On the pricing side, it's a little higher than more casual sweet shops in Alanya, but we'd say it's worth it for the quality and atmosphere. If you're staying in Mahmutlar, this is an easy walk; if you're based in Alanya city centre, it's worth a dedicated trip by taxi or car. Turkish desserts are one of the genuine highlights of eating in Alanya Turkey, and Haydarzade is one of the best places we found to experience them properly.
