The viewpoint near Alanya Fortress is a simple but rewarding photo spot perched close to the ancient castle walls above the Alanya cliff. The view here looks out across the Mediterranean and down along the coastline — on a clear day you can see a significant stretch of the turquoise sea and the rocks below the fortress walls. It's one of those spots that doesn't appear on most tourist itineraries but that we think is genuinely worth seeking out during a visit to the Alanya castle area. The access road is a narrow route also used by cars, so pedestrians need to stay aware of traffic and step aside when needed — take care, particularly on the roadside sections. The viewpoint itself is free to access and has no facilities, keeping it quiet and uncluttered compared to the busier observation decks nearby. We'd suggest combining it with a visit to Alanya Fortress itself and the cable car station below, making it part of a full half-day exploring the historic castle district of Alanya Turkey. A great spontaneous photo stop with a genuinely impressive backdrop.
