Dim Çayı Göl Piknik is one of the riverside restaurants along the Dim Cay waterway, with the added bonus of a view directly across to the dam — a beautiful and distinctive backdrop that makes it one of the more scenic spots in the Alanya region. We'd recommend it as a great place to spend a morning or afternoon, either for a traditional Turkish breakfast (kahvaltılık) or a longer lunch by the water. You can swim in the river here, though even in the height of summer the water stays surprisingly cold, which is both shocking and refreshing depending on your expectations. The infrastructure at Göl Piknik is in slightly better condition than some of the older riverside spots, which makes for a more comfortable experience. Prices are a notch above the typical local rate, but we think the setting justifies it. It's an easy drive from Alanya city centre, around 25 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. A genuinely atmospheric place to eat in Alanya for those willing to venture slightly out of the city.
