I Love Alanya Sign

The I Love Alanya sign is a popular viewpoint attraction in Alanya that sits on the high ground above the city and offers a fantastic panoramic view of the bay, the castle cliff, and the surrounding coastline. We visited and found it genuinely beautiful, particularly around sunset when the light across Alanya is at its most dramatic. There is a café and a restaurant at the top, which add to the experience and give you somewhere to sit and enjoy the view at your leisure. Getting there: taxis will take you up, but always insist that the driver turns on the meter before you set off — we heard of visitors being quoted inflated flat rates. You can also hike up and down the hill on foot; we did, and while it takes some effort, the walk through the upper neighbourhood streets of Alanya is interesting in itself. Unfortunately there's no dedicated bus service or shuttle from Alanya city centre to this viewpoint, which is a gap worth noting. Still, it's one of the best things to do in Alanya for views, and we recommend it.
