Gölbaşı Gözleme ve Restaurant is a family-run mountain café in the hills above Alanya, and it’s the kind of place that wins you over entirely with its setting. The view from here is stunning — an open panorama over the valley and surrounding peaks that makes the journey up feel worthwhile even before you’ve eaten. The food is traditional and homemade in style, centred around gözleme (Turkish flatbread) and simple local dishes. It’s not a polished establishment — the décor is rustic and cleanliness is not to a high standard — but we think that’s part of the charm rather than a dealbreaker. Getting here requires a car, as there’s no public transport access to this part of the mountains above Alanya. The drive itself is an experience, winding up through increasingly dramatic scenery toward the Dim Cay area. Our recommendation is to combine a visit here with the Dim Cay lake or Çıtır Gözleme for a full day trip out of Alanya city centre into the mountains. A memorable and genuine spot.
